Dog Lover, Tree Hugger, Perfectionist, Pacifist, Nerd, you name it...I've heard it all.
Originally a Detroit native, I relocated to Chicago in 2004. After years of art school, (and many failed attempts to land a job that I felt would keep my creativity flowing), I landed a tattoo apprenticeship at Metamorph Studios under Derek Mullins. After a year (Feb 2007 - Jan 2008) of strict dedication and focus, I became a "professional" tattoo artist.
Now was my time to put my passion for art, to the test. Having an already solid background in art, and challenging myself with every piece, I feel my skills progressed quickly.
After only 2 1/2 years tattooing, Houdini (my boston terrier) and I moved to Burbank, CA in October 2010, to work on Concept Illustration, Creature Design and Sculpting for Tom Devlin's 1313FX. Then...Somehow...By some freak will of the Gods...My portfolio landed in the hands of Dennis Halbritter and Kat Von D, and I got "the call"...
Working at Kat Von D’s High Voltage Tattoo/LA Ink for the next 10 years, gave me the opportunity to work with some truly incredible artists. This helped to push my skills to a whole new level.
The next adventure, was moving to Phoenix, Arizona in the summer of 2020, to work at 27 Tattoo Studio (in Downtown Phoenix).
And… after years of personal debate, and working for someone else…I decided to take the exciting opportunity to step out on my own…and finally introduce the world to HALLOWED EARTH.
HALLOWED EARTH has been an idea of mine for the last 10+ years. The goal was to create an artistically inspiring space, that people could get lost in. A place to step away from all of the day to day, and immerse oneself in creativity.
